NSS unit of GCW, Faridabad organised workshop on ‘Making NSS volunteers POCSOA champion’ on 19/06/2020. The workshop was organised under 'The Rakshin project ' of Sakshi NGO in association with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Dr. Ramaya and Ms. Samriti Singh, Coordinators of the workshop from Sakshi NGO, discussed various aspects related to child abuse and the ways to deal with it. Around 40 volunteers of NSS unit of our college has successfully attended the workshop. Our Principal Ms Namarta Sharma said that everyone has the responsibility to prevent atrocities against children. NSS volunteers must understand their power as a youth and also they should spread awareness. NSS PO Dr. Rachna Saini expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Sakshi NGO and all Co-ordinators for spreading awareness about this sensitive issue to NSS volunteers. Dr. Raman Kumar, Dr. Varsha Sharma, Ms. Jyoti and Ms. Poonam Sharma from the NSS team of GCW had also attended the workshop.
