Under the joint aegis of the Department of Physical Education and NSS Unit of Government Women's College, Sector 16-A, Faridabad, in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation, a plantation drive was carried out on the occasion of Environment Day. In which 50 saplings of different species including mango, guava, jamun were planted. Appreciating the plantation program, Worthy Principal Dr. Sunidhi said that more and more number of saplings are necessary for environmental protection.For this, we also need to make the people around us aware, so that more and more saplings can be planted in the month of Sawan. Indian Oil Corporation's accountant Daisy Goel said that the Ministry of Oil has decided to plant saplings in vacant places across the country, for this purpose, plantation is being done in Women's College, Faridabad. Balbir Dahiya, in-charge of Physical Education Department appealed to all the girl students of the college to conserve all the plants planted in the college. On the other hand, NSS volunteers planted saplings in the college premises. Senior professors Ms Ritika Gupta, Ms. Archana Verma, Dr. Rachna Saini, Dr. Ramniwas, Dr. Varsha Sharma, Ms. Poonam Sharma, Ms.Priya Neha, Ms.Ashna and Ms.Chanchal Sharma etc. were present on this occasion.
