World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10th October to advocate against the stigma on mental health issues. This day is celebrated to create awareness among people about various issues like depression, anxiety,stress and other mental illnesses. This year's theme is"mental health for all... greater investment... greater access" On this occasion, an extension activity was conducted by the Department of Psychology to educate the students and prepare them better for any type of mental illness especially during Covid 19 period. Ms Sonal Gupta, Professor of Psychology and Retired Principal, Higher Education Department Haryana very gracefully consented to deliver a talk to the students on the topic" battling covid with emotional intelligence". The activity was spearheaded by Ms Ritika Gupta ,HOD , Department of Psychology and attended by senior faculty members Ms Amita and Ms Archana Verma. Around 60 students participated and benefitted from this extremely interesting interactive session.
