NSS unit of GCW celebrated World Environment Day today on June 5, 2020. On this occasion, an online workshop was organised for NSS volunteers of GCW on “Swachhta Action Plan” .

NSS unit of GCW celebrated World Environment Day today on June 5, 2020. On this occasion, an online workshop was organised for NSS volunteers of GCW on “Swachhta Action Plan” . To mark this day, many online activities were also organised by the NSS unit of the college wherein 5 teams of the volunteer students engaged in activities like Poster Making, Slogan writing, Essay writing and Video Making and Photography on various environmental themes like water Conservation, Waste Management, Sanitization Solar Power Green Cover and Plantation etc. On this occasion, Principal, GCW, Faridabad Mrs. Namarta Sharma while congratulating NSS volunteers said- “It is important to look after our environment in order to make earth a better place to live”. Also, Mr. Shatrughan Bhardwaj, Coordinator SAP from MHRD motivated the NSS volunteers and urged them to play an active role in the society to save our environment. NSS PO of the college Dr. Rachna Saini, and other team members Dr. Balram Sharma , Dr. Raman Kumar and Dr. Varsha Sharma also shared their views through online meeting on World Environment Day and also motivated the volunteers to conserve natural resources and spread awareness on the same.
The event was an extension of workshop which was organised for NSS PO District Faridabad and Palwal on 4th June 2020 by Department of Higher Education , MHRD. The event was organized in collaboration with Department of Higher Education , Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education.
