Government College for Women, Faridabad in collaboration with Government P.G. College, Panchkula organised four days (1 June 2021- 4th June 2021) online lecture series ‘Abhivyakti- Media Students se Samvad’ on the occasion of Hindi Patrkarita Diwas. Experts from different fields of media were invited for sharing hands-on experience with students. Mr. Asif Sheikh, Senior Anchor and News Producer ZeeMedia, Uttarakhand, UP was the speaker on day one. He emphasised that for being a good anchor, one has to be a good journalist. As it was an interactive session students asked various questions related to job opportunities in the field of television. Day 2 was devoted to radio, RJ Ashish Sharma, 104.8FM, Delhi, famous as Delhi ka kadak launda interacted with students. He told students if they want to be a good radio jockey they need to be real and observe the things happening around them. He also shared his views on how to generate content for radio. On day 3 Mr. Manish August Bhatt( Entrepreneur and advertising professional) informed students about various aspects of advertising and discussed the Nitty gritty of advertising and also answered the questions raised by students regarding what goes behind making successful ads. The last day i.e. day 4 was for print media. Mr. Mahesh Kumar, State Editor, Dainik Bhaskar, Haryana was the speaker. He guided students how one can excel in print media even though there is a big challenge from digital media. All the sessions were quite informative and enlightening. Mrs. Namrata Sharma, Principal GCW, Faridabad congratulated both the colleges for such wonderful collaboration and said that the media plays a very vital role and how media acts as watchdog in the society. Faculty members Mr. Advitya Khurana, Mr. Naveen, Dr. Chitra, Mr. Anil Pandey, Ms Shreyasi, Ms Manisha from GC Panchkula and Ms Shalini Khurana, Dr. Rachna Saini, Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms Savita Nagar were present. Around 100 students attended the lectures.
