• Glad to share with you all GCW got 1st position at  District Level Youth Festival in the category of Folk Dance.

  • Government College for women Faridabad got 3rd position in Haryanvi Dance at 27th state level youth  festival. Total 22 teams participated in this competition representing each District of Haryana.  Our college represents Faridabad district as it stood on first position at District Level.  Our worthy Principal Dr. Sunidhi congratulated students for their achievement at state level and encourage students to do more participation in such activities.

  • Ms. Rachna Saini, Assistant Professor of our college awarded as Best NSS program officer at University level by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singhji on the occasion of NSS day celebration
  • Our NSS volunteer Kajal Singh awarded as Best NSS volunteer at University level by Honourable Vice  - Chancellor prof. Rajbir Singh ji,  on the occasion of NSS day celebration.
  • Celebrating 6th International Yoga Day,  the NSS unit  and Sports Club of Government College for Women (GCW) organised  International Virtual  workshop on  ‘Yoga at home and Yoga with Family’ for staff  and students of the college. Ms. Kritika Soni , an International Hatha Yoga trainer currently practicing at Toronto, Canada . In  the first session, themes like theory and concept of Yoga , its types  including Hatha Yoga, stress management through yoga, benefits of Yoga were elaborated.  In second session, the instructor Ms. Kritika taught Yoga practices like  Yoga Namaskar, Nada Yoga, Nari Shuddhi or Shambhavi Kriya followed by a third session that included question and answer session   and feedback .

  • 19th June, 2020 NSS unit of GCW, Faridabad organised  workshop on  ‘Making NSS volunteers POCSOA champion’. The workshop was organised under 'The Rakshin project ' of  Sakshi NGO in association with  Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Dr. Ramaya and  Ms. Samriti Singh, Coordinators of the workshop from Sakshi NGO, discussed various aspects related to child abuse and the ways to deal with it.  

  • 5th June, 2020-NSS unit of GCW celebrated World Environment Day today on June 5, 2020. On this occasion, an online workshop was  organised for NSS volunteers  of GCW on “Swachhta Action PlanTo mark this day, many online activities were also organised  by the NSS unit of the college wherein  5 teams of the volunteer students engaged in activities like  Poster Making, Slogan writing, Essay writing  and Video Making and Photography  on various environmental themes like Water Conservation, Waste Management, Sanitization Solar Power, Green Cover and Plantation etc. On this occasion, Principal, GCW, Faridabad Mrs. Namarta Sharma while congratulating NSS volunteers said- “It is important to look after our environment in order to make earth a better place to live”. Also, Mr. Shatrughan Bhardwaj, Coordinator SAP from MHRD motivated the NSS volunteers and urged them to  play an active role in the society  to save our environment. NSS PO of the college Dr. Rachna Saini, and other team members Dr. Balram Arya , Dr. Raman Kumar and Dr. Varsha Sharma also shared their views through online meeting  on World  Environment Day and also motivated the volunteers to conserve natural resources and spread awareness on the same. 

  • 25th Jan, 2020- NSS unit in collaboration with electoral club celebrated National Voters day on 25th Jan 2020. All NSS volunteers and college staff attended the program. A pledge on Voter's duty was taken by all. 

  • 13th JAN 2020-  Lohri festival was celebrated with great fervour and gaiety by NSS unit of GCW, Faridabad. Students from various departments of the campus participated in Dance competition which was organised by NSS unit of the college. The Principal, Prof. Namarta Sharma, extended her greetings to students and staff members, present on the occasion. She said Lohri was a mark of a new beginning and students should pledge to make the year fruitful in all .
