Department of Home Science in collaboration with Department of Sociology organized national level online essay writing competition for the undergraduate and post graduate students across all educational institutes of India as part of celebration of Poshan Maah September 2024. Total four topics based on importance of nutrition and role of Poshan Abhiyaan in accelerating India towards a Malnutrition Free country were given to students to write essay on any one topic. Department of Home Science in collaboration with Department of Sociology organized national level online essay writing competition for the undergraduate and post graduate students across all educational institutes of India as part of celebration of Poshan Maah September 2024. Total four topics based on importance of nutrition and role of Poshan Abhiyaan in accelerating India towards a Malnutrition Free country were given to students to write essay on any one topic. Entries of essay in pdf format along with Id card of Institute were called from 22nd September to 28th September 2024 via google form link or given email id.The aim of the competition was to create awareness of Poshan Abhiyaan among students. Total 73 students took part from Haryana Rajasthan Himachal Pardesh and Uttar Pradesh. In Hindi medium of essay competition Priyanka student of B Sc 2nd year from Rajiv Gandhi Govt College for Women Bhiwani got the first position. Farah Noor student of BA 2nd year from INPG College Meerut got second position. Priyanshu student of BA 3rd year from GC Chhara Jhajjhar got 3rd position. In English medium of essay competition Saloni student of BCA first year from GCG Nacholi got the first position. Ritika Panwar student of MA from SDPG College Muzaffarnagar got 2nd position. Tina student of B Sc from Govt PG College for Women Rohtak got 3rd position. Our worthy Principal madam Dr. Sunidhi congratulated the winners and wished best for the future. The evaluation committee for the essay competition included Ms. Meenal Sabharwal and Ms. Sangeeta faculty of English Department for English medium. Dr. Raman Kumar Lecturer of Hindi Department and Dr. Sonia Assistant Professor in Sanskrit department played the role of evaluator for Hindi medium. The result of the competition was announced on 10th October 2024.The competition was successfully organized by Ms. Neelam Rani Head of Home Science department and Dr. Sheetal Rani Head of Sociology Department.
