Tie and dye

Women cell in collaboration with Home Science Department organized Three days workshop on Stitching, tie and dye and block Painting for college students from 14th February 2025 to 17th Feb. 2025 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Dr. Sunidhi. Total 49 students participated in this workshop and got benefitted. The aim of the workshop was to enhance stitching skills of students, to encourage creativity through fabric design and embroidery to teach the method of block painting allowing students to explore textile decoration and to promote self employment and vocational skills among young girls. Stitching session focused on basic stitching techniques such as hand embroidery hemming etc. Students learned how to use sewing machine and make simple fabric items like handkerchiefs etc. In Tie and Dye session students were introduced to the tie and dye techniques where they were used different folding twisting and knotting methods to create beautiful patterns on fabric. In the Block Painting session students learned about different types of block color combinations and the process of fixing colors on fabric. Through this workshop students gained hand on experience in stitching tie and dye and block painting.
