Under the joint auspices of Women Cell, Government College for Women, Faridabad and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Faridabad Branch, Haryana, a symposium and book release ceremony on "Swatantrata Sangraam mein Vanvasi Veeron ka Yogdaan" was organized on 16/09/2023. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp of knowledge by Chief Guest Dr. Narendra Kumar, Principal, Government College for Women, Faridabad and Guest of Honour Mr. Deepak Thakural, Additional Advocate General, Haryana Government. While highlighting the significant role played by the Vanvasi people in the freedom struggle, Mr. Surendra Sharma, Regional In-Charge, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Haryana, introduced the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and stated during the session that it is important for today's youth to be aware of the vanvasi's sacrifice, struggle, and martyrdom.Vaibhav Surange ji, Akhil Bhartiya Yuva Pramukh, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Haryana, spoke about the vital role that Vanvasi people play in preserving the ecosystem. More than three hundred students were present in the programme. Students of Hostel 65 Sector also presented a song named "Veeron Ki Gatha". The programme was successfully conducted under the chairmanship of Shri Chandra Prakash Meena, Assistant General Manager (BSNL). Senior most faculty member, Archana Verma, Balbir Dahiya, Meenal Sabharwal, Meenu Sheoran, Gaurav Sisodia, Sheetal Rani (In- Charge, Women Cell) and other staff members were present on this occasion. The programme was end with the vote of thanks by Deputy Advocate General, Mr. Ajay Sharma.
