On September 29, 2023, a session on "Women Safety" was held by the Women Cell at the Government College for Women in Faridabad. Ms. Geeta, Inspector, Women Police Station, Faridabad, addressed the students, shared safety advice for girls, and told the students about the Durga Shakti app, which gives women a way to contact the police right away when they need it. The app may be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Any woman can sign up for this app, and in the case of an emergency, she can phone or press the ALERT button on the app's home page. There were about 150 students participating in the programme. Under the guidance of Mr. Narendra Kumar, Principal of the Government College for Women in Sector 16-A in Faridabad, the session was successfully held. Senior most faculty, Ms. Archana Verma, Women Cell members Ms. Meenu Sheoran, Ms Divesh, Ms. Priya Saini, Ms. Sheetal Rani (In- Charge, Women Cell) and other staff members were present on this occasion. The programme was end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sonia, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce.
