District level legal literacy competition was organized at Government Women's College, Sector 16A, Faridabad under the able guidance of worthy DHEO cum Principal Dr.Sunidhi on 26th April 2024. In this competition 75 participants from 11 colleges of Faridabad took part in painting, slogan writing, documentary, power point presentation, poetry recitation, essay writing and skit competition.In the poetry recitation competition, Sonia Mishra, BA 3rd year student of the same college stood first and Sarika Mishra, student of BAJMC 2nd year stood second. In the speech competition, Khushi, student of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College won 1st prize.
DHEO and Principal Dr. Sunidhi expressed her gratitude to all the jury members and participants from various colleges and said that it is very important for every citizen to be legally aware for the development and social upliftment of the country. As long as people do not talk about their rights in the society, the process of injustice and exploitation will continue. Therefore, it is the first duty of the educational institutions to provide legal information along with knowledge of the subject to the students, for which such activities should be organized from time to time.The jury of the program were retired Principal Dr. Meenakshi Bhardwaj, Dr. Amita Sood, Dr. Anita Khungar, Dr. Tarun Arora and Dr. Arun Lekha. On this occasion, they praised Dr. Preeti Raina, coordinator of the Legal Literacy Cell and the staff members for successfully organizing the program.The program started with a speech competition in which Khushi of K.L. Mehta College got the first position, Babloo of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Post Graduate College got the second position and Naina of Government College, Kheri Gujran got third position. In skit, the team of Sarika Mishra and Neetu Mishra of the GCW Faridabad got first position. In the painting competition, Abid from Shaheed Memorial Government College, Tigaon got first position, Meet Koli from DAV Centenary College got second position and Isha Jamal of GCW Faridabad got third position. In Power Point Presentation, Yash Kalra of Jawaharlal Nehru College stood first and Aman Sharma stood second. Whereas Anjali of K.L.Mehta college secured third position.In the painting competition, Abid from Shaheed Memorial Government College, Tigaon got first position, Meet Koli from DAV Century College got second position and college student Isha Jamal got third position. In slogan writing, Shalini Sharma of DAV Centenary College stood first, Aarti of GCW Faridabad stood second and Nancy, student of Aggarwal College stood third. In the debate competition(in favour), Nancy (in favour) and Anurag Mishra of Jawaharlal Nehru College stood first and Neha (against) of KL Mehta College and Aman Sharma (against) of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru College stood second. All the winning participants were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.
