Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Government College for Women, Faridabad in collaboration with Government P.G. College, Panchkula organised on going series ‘Abhivyakti- A Talk cum interactive program for media students on the occasion of National Literacy Day. Mr. Sushil Manav, Chief of Bureau, The Tribune, Chandigarh was the keynote speaker. He shared his rich experiences with students. He said that journalism is a field of struggle and courage where country’s interest is more important than self-interest. He answered all the questions asked by students and told students that journalism has the same approach, whatever the language is. He informed students about the news writing for newspaper and laid stress on language used. Mrs. Namrata Sharma, Principal GCW, Faridabad wished students on National Literacy Dayand thanked the speaker for delivering informative session.She also congratulated both the colleges for the joint venture which were helping students to have practical knowledge during pandemic. Faculty members Mr. Advitya Khurana, Mr. Naveen, Dr. Chitra, Mr. Anil Pandey, Ms. Shreyasi, Ms. Manisha from GC Panchkula and Ms.Shalini Khurana, Dr. Rachna Saini, Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms. Savita Nagar were present. Around 100 students attended the lecture.
