Women Cell in collaboration with Department of Music organized two extension lectures on following topics 1.Contribution of Music to Women Empowerment 2. Womens Contribution to Music on 5th March 2025 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Dr. Sunidhi.These lectures aimed to explore how music serves as a tool for empowering women and how women have shaped the music industry. Dr. Lokesh Sharma Associate Professor Department of Music Vocal from Govt. College Tigaon was the resource person for these extension lectures.The first session began with introduction like What is Sangeet what does Music teach to women like discipline etc. Music is a powerful teacher that helps women build confidence resilience independence and emotional strength. This session also focused on how music has played a role in inspiring and empowering women. The second session highlighted the significant impact of women in the music industry. Dr. Sharma mentioned Contributions of legends like Lata Mangeshkar Asha Bhosle and Shreya Ghosal etc. in shaping the music world. The lecture series successfully provided deep insights into the role of music in womens empowerment and the invaluable contributions of women to the music industry. These lectures were followed by a discussion where expert addressed questions from students. Women Cell in charge Dr. Sonia Head of Music Department Dr. Balram Yadav Dr. Ramniwas Dr. Raman and Mr. Prabhakar Pandey graced the event with their presence.
