Zonal Youth Festival was held at Government College Kheri Gujran during 26, 27 & 28th October, 2023 for Faridabad Jhajjar Zone. Wherein about 1140 students from 38 colleges took part in 43 competitions featuring literary, fine arts and musical items. In this youth festival, Government College for Women, Faridabad won eleven trophies.College Principal Mr Narendra Kumar congratulated the winners and encouraged all the participants and said youth festivals are promoting art and culture in annual gathering of youth with various competitive and collaborative activities, besides all this, this festival provides a nationwide exposure to the youth for the expression and fulfillment of their cultural talents and aspirations.The youth festival's convenor, Ms. Meenal Sabharwal and co-convenor Mr. Raman Kumar acknowledged the assistance provided by Dr. Parul Rana and expressed their happiness that the college had placed first in the categories of classical dance, Sanskrit declamation, and Punjabi poetry recitation. In the categories of folk song, Hindi debate, slogan writing, and light music (ghazal), our college placed second. Our college won third place in group song, cartooning, and English debate. The convenors also expressed their gratitude to the music department team members, Mr. Prabhakar Pandey, and the accompanists Namrata Ji, Pranay Ranjan, Sankumay Debnath, and Jai Prakash for their exceptional performances, which earned them four trophies for college. Principal Mr. Narendra Kumar congratulated the winners and their in-charges on their accomplishment and expressed his best wishes for the upcoming inter-zonal youth festival, which will take place at Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak from November 4–6, 2023.
