An orientation-cum-induction programme was organized by Govt College for Women, Faridabad on 10th August, 2024. The programme began on an auspicious note by organising 'havan' in which Principal, staff, students and their parents participated followed by lighting up of lamp of knowledge and Saraswati Vandana. Principal Dr. Sunidhi addressed the students and advised them to focus on their goals and achieve them through perseverance and hard work. Principal highlighted the facilities and infrastructure of the college to the students and their parents. She also emphasized that students should make the most of their college life focussing not only on studies but also on extra-curriculars and at the same time observing discipline in college. A detailed Power point presentation was made for the  students and their parents giving a brief description of college staff and changes introduced in curriculum and courses as per NEP 2020. This was followed by a dance performance of second year students of the college and ghazal recital by Dr. Balram, faculty Music Dept. Alumnus of the college Ms.Sneh shared her college life experiences and inspired students to make the most of their college life. Incharges of various clubs, committees and cells explained to students with the help of PPT about the working of their respective cells and clubs followed by Vote of thanks by senior most faculty member, Ms. Neelam Rani. The function was attended by  freshers from all the courses. Senior staff members Mr. Balbir Dahiya, Dr. Parul Rana, Ms. Shalini Khurana, Dr. Preeti Raina and Ms. Meenal were present in the function besides other faculty members and non-teaching staff.
