On September 15, 2023, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication celebrated Doordarshan Diwas by organizing a special session for BAJMC students. Mr. Vinod Lamba, Deputy News Editor at Zee Media Haryana, addressed the students and shared his hands-on experience in the TV industry. During his talk, he emphasized Doordarshan's significant contribution to the nation's development.
Mr. Lamba also recounted his experiences working with Doordarshan. The session was presided over by the college Principal, Dr. Narender Kumar, who extended his congratulations to the students on the occasion of Doordarshan Diwas. He also emphasized the importance of TV Journalism and encouraged the students to pursue their passion for journalism. Approximately 100 students from the department attended the session and actively participated by asking questions related to the discussion.
Ms. Shalini Khurana, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, formally welcomed the guest and shared insightful facts about Doordarshan. The efforts of Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms. Savita Nagar, Assistant Professors, in organizing this session were highly commendable.
