Haryana Tourism Day was celebrated by the Tourism Department (Travel and Tourism Management) of Government Women's College, Sector 16A, Faridabad. Haryana Tourism day is celebrated on September 1 every year to commemorate the starting day of Haryana Tourism Corporation, which was started to provide a comfort, neat and clean Tourism facilities to the people .On this occasion all the students of department displayed Haryana culture and Tourist attractions by making paintings, posters and collages.Jokes and haryanvi songs were also shared by them.
On this occasion Principal Dr. Narendra Kumar said that the tourism sector in Haryana is growing and it has immense employment potential. He said that Haryana is being developed as a tourist destination for Religious Tourism,Rural Tourism, Adventure , health tourism, , yoga tourism, cultural tourism and MICE tourism.
Dr. Preeti Raina, Head of Department of Tourism informed that Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management course is going on in the college since 2013. Every year the girls getting education from here are getting employment in the tourism sector. Head of the department Dr Preeti Raina and Keshav Kumar, were present in the program.
