NSS Unit and Red Cross Society of Government College for women, Faridabad, in collaboration with Rotary Club, carried out Awareness drive for students awaring them about importance of using sanitary pads and maintaining hygiene.Under the programme, quality sanitary napkins were being distributed to around 1000 students
Appreciating the program, Principal Dr. Sunidhi said that more and more number of such programs need to be organised so that we can make girls aware about their health and hygiene.For this, we also need to make the people around us aware. Ms Ritika Gupta and Ms Meenal welcomed the initiative and aware the girls about the benefit of using sanitary pads instead of using clothes.
Rotary Club President Mr Vipin chand said that he has decided to distribute sanitary pad in various areas of city, for this purpose, drive is being done in Women's College, Faridabad. Dr. Rachna Saini NSS PO guided all the girl students of the college that buying a sanitary napkin is not a matter of shame and there is no need to cover it in black plastic,
Dr. Raman Kumar Dr. Varsha Sharma, Ms. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Priya ,Ms.Neha, and Ms. Chanchal Sharma etc. were present on this occasion.
