Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Government College for Women, Faridabad in collaboration with Government P.G. College, Panchkula organised a one day webinar on 26th June 2021 under ‘Abhivyakti’ series. The topic of the session was Radio:Writing to Marketing. Mr. Abhinav Nagar, Radio Veteran was the keynote speaker. He is a writer, lyricist, and voice over artist. He had worked with HT Media, and many famous Bollywood celebrities has given voice to his writings. He told students about the working of radio stations amd shared his hands-on experiences. He informed students about the naunces of copy writing for radio advertisements, radio programme production, podcasting and poetry. He said that to become a good writer and making your writing unique, you should express yourself freely. As it was an interactive session, students asked various questions related to radio advertisements and copy writing. He answered all the questions very lucidly and cleared all the doubts of the students. Mrs. Namrata Sharma, Principal Government College of Women, Faridabad congratulated both the colleges for their wonderful joint venture and said that radio is a mass media that is widely used as a source of information and entertainment in both rural and urban areas of the country. Around 90 students attended the session. Faculty members Ms. Shalini Khurana, Dr Rachna Saini, Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms Savita Nagar from GCW Faridabad and Mr. Advitya Khurana, Dr Chitra, Mr Naveen Kumar, Mr Anil Pandey, and Ms Shreyasi were present.
