A flag rally was taken out by the NSS unit in collaboration with Red Cross cell of Government College for women, Faridabad under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on the Amrit mahotsav of independence. In which all students and staff members of the college participated. While Inaugurating the rally, Principal Dr. Narendra Kumar said that the tiranga is the pride of our country. Which is also the basis of the unity of our country. Therefore, it is our responsibility to celebrate this 75th Independence Day of the country with gaiety. He appealed to all the staff members and girl students to hoist the tricolor at their homes. Red Cross in-charge Meenal Sabharwal informed that the Higher Education Department has given a call to all the colleges to take out the flag yatra and hoist the flag in their homes. The rally started from the college and returned to the college via Sector 16A Market and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Post Graduate College. In this rally around 100 NSS volunteers participated and remembered the patriots. Volunteers raised slogans given by the people of the independence festival. Senior professors Ritika Gupta, Archana Verma, Balber Singh Dahiya, Neelam Rani, Dr. Parul Rana and all the members of NSS unit, Dr. Raman Kumar, Poonam Sharma, Savita Nagar, Chanchal Sharma, Neha Vij, Dr. Varsha Sharma etc. were present on this occasion.
